 개역개정 형제들아 우리가 아시아에서 당한 환난을 너희가 모르기를 원하지 아니하노니 힘에 겹도록 심한 고난을 당하여 살 소망까지 끊어지고
 KJV For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
 NIV We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life.
 공동번역 형제 여러분은 우리가 아시아에서 당한 환난이 어떠한 것이었는지를 알리려고 합니다. 그 환난은 우리의 힘으로는 도저히 견디어 낼 수 없을이만큼 심해서 마침내 우리는 살 희망조차 잃게 되었습니다.
 북한성경 형제들이여. 우리가 아시아에서 당한 환난이 어떠한 것이었는지를 알리려고 합니다. 그 환난은 우리의 힘으로는 도저히 견디여 낼 수 없으리만큼 심해서 마침내 우리는 살 희망조차 잃게 되었습니다.
 Afr1953 Want ons wil nie h?, broeders, dat julle onbekend moet wees met ons verdrukking wat oor ons in Asi? gekom het nie, dat ons dit bo ons krag uitermate swaar gehad het, sodat ons selfs aan ons lewe gewanhoop het.
 BulVeren Защото не искаме, братя, да не знаете за скръбта, която ни сполетя в Азия ? че бяхме изключително притеснени, свръх силите си, така че дори се отчаяхме за живота си;
 Dan Thi vi ville ikke, Brødre! at I skulle være uvidende om den Trængsel, som kom over os i Asien, at vi bleve overvættes besværede, over Evne, s? at vi endog mistvivlede om Livet.

 ACV For we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, about our affliction that happened to us in Asia, because we were extraordinarily weighed down, above strength, so as for us to despair even to be alive.

 ESV For we do not want you to be ignorant, brothers, (Or brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God's family, the church) of (Acts 19:23; 1 Cor. 15:32) the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself.
