 성경장절  사무엘하 19장 6절
 개역개정 이는 왕께서 미워하는 자는 사랑하시며 사랑하는 자는 미워하시고 오늘 지휘관들과 부하들을 멸시하심을 나타내심이라 오늘 내가 깨달으니 만일 압살롬이 살고 오늘 우리가 다 죽었더면 왕이 마땅히 여기실 뻔하였나이다
 KJV In that thou lovest thine enemies, and hatest thy friends. For thou hast declared this day, that thou regardest neither princes nor servants: for this day I perceive, that if Absalom had lived, and all we had died this day, then it had pleased thee well.
 NIV You love those who hate you and hate those who love you. You have made it clear today that the commanders and their men mean nothing to you. I see that you would be pleased if Absalom were alive today and all of us were dead.
 공동번역 그 때 요압이 왕의 거처로 들어 가 간했다. "오늘 저희는 임금님과 임금님의 아들, 딸 왕비, 후궁들의 목숨을 건져 드렸는데, 임금님께서는 도리어 저희 모든 신하들을 얼굴도 들지 못하게 하셨습니다.
 북한성경 어찌하여 임금님을 미워하는 자들은 사랑하시고 임금님을 사랑하는 사람들은 미워하십니까. 이제보니 이 장병들이나 신하들은 임금님께 아무것도 아니었습니다. 우리가 모두 죽고 압살롬만 살았더라면 임금님은 오히려 그것을 좋아하셨으리라는 것을 이제야 알았습니다.
